Good health is something we take for granted when we enjoy it. However most of us will, from time to time feel in less than perfect health. Often this is a self-limiting illness resulting from contact with a virus like the common cold or flu or perhaps a bout of low back pain.
At times like this recovery is often a simple matter of slowing down and allowing our natural resources to fight the virus or infection or heal the wound. Within a relatively short time we are back on our feet, sometimes with the help of our doctor but often with the help of over the counter remedies.
However, none of us carry immunity to the wide range of illnesses and injuries possible and sadly some will experience episodes of more serious illness or major injury. When this happens, we may have to develop a longer running relationship with our doctor or specialist.
If you become ill, you will have to make an assessment about whether this is a condition you can manage without medical intervention or whether you need the input of a medical expert.
Fortunately, there are a range of options available to help you make this decision.
