Consumer rights legislation

It is sometimes helpful to be able to quote specific consumer legislation to a retailer or service provider when negotiating over a problem.

The following lists the current legislation with their respective dates:

  • Consumer Credit Act 1974 (as amended)
  • Insurance Companies Act 1982 (repealed)
