Preventative Health Hub: Open 1 – 30 September

Person at home viewing bite-size exercises online

Our wellbeing calendar focus for September is on preventative health – which is about taking simple, proactive steps to support your wellbeing before health concerns become more serious. While not every illness can be prevented, many common health conditions can be reduced or managed through healthy habits, regular health checks and recognising changes in your physical or mental health early.

Preventative Health Hub

Between the 1st – 30th September you can explore our Preventative Health Hub for practical advice, resources and support to help you take action. Topics will cover blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, common health conditions, as well as lifestyle habits you can adopt to support your long-term health.

NHS/Better Health – Advice on weight management, quitting smoking, staying active and drinking less alcohol.
